This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) details how your personal information is collected, shared and used by Glossi.  If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the practices described herein, you may contact Glossi at contact@glossi.io. “You” and similar terms mean the person visiting or using the Platform or Services and, if such access or use is on behalf of an entity, “you” refers both to the individual and the entity on whose behalf such individual is acting. “Glossi”, as well as “we” and similar terms refers to Glossi, Inc., a Delaware corporation. “Platform”  means the technology platform/application developed and/or used by Glossi in providing the Services (including all related ideas, concepts, inventions, systems, hardware, software, interfaces, dashboards, tools, utilities, content, templates, forms, samples, techniques, methods, processes, algorithms, know-how, trade secrets and other technologies, implementations and information), and including all corrections, improvements, extensions and modifications thereto and new versions thereof. The “Services” are the services offered by Glossi, including any access to the Platform, that are made available for access and use, as such may be updated or modified by Glossi from time to time. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) for additional terms that apply to your usage of the Services.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you what personally identifiable information or personal information Glossi may collect from you when you use the Services, how Glossi uses such information, and the choices you have regarding Glossi’s use of, and your ability to review and correct, the information. When you use the Services, Glossi will collect, use and share your personal information consistent with the provisions of this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of the date last modified, as listed above. 

INFORMATION GLOSSI RECEIVES

In the course of your use of the Services, Glossi will obtain the information about you described below. Glossi may need to collect this information to provide you with the Services or information you request, or to facilitate commercial engagements with you. If you do not provide such information, Glossi may not be able to provide the Services to you, or enter commercial engagements with you.  Glossi will only collect information about you that is necessary for one or more legitimate business purposes, or that is required by law. Glossi collects the following information:

Information You Provide to Us

We collect the following information when you provide it to us:

  • Information you provide as part of the registration process, such as your email, name, username and country when you provide it to Glossi;

  • Information that you provide when you call or email Glossi (for support or otherwise);

  • Payment information when you make any purchases through the Services. We may use third party service providers to process payments. Such third parties will only have access to the information you provide to complete any payment;

    • images, models, designs, and other documents and data you upload to the Platform.


Information We Collect Automatically

We collect the following information automatically during your use of the Services:

  • Data relating to your online activity on the Platform, including the following: 

    • IP address (on an anonymized basis)

    • browser type and version

    • geographic location

    • pages you view and features you use on the Platform

    • how you got to the Platform and any links you click on to leave the Platform

    • when you update your information or communicate with us

    • metadata about your use of the Platform, including interactions with any content available on the Platform,

    •   and the communications that you send in-site

    • issues you encounter requiring Glossi’s support or assistance

    • any device or other method of communication you use to interact with the Platform

  • Glossi uses various technologies to collect and store information when you use the Platform. Glossi may store the data it collects in a variety of places within its infrastructure, including system log files, back-end databases and analytics systems. Glossi does not provide an option to do-not-track request.

  • while using the Services, you may provide feedback or suggestions to Glossi. Glossi will collect any information you provide as part of this feedback and use it to improve the Platform for you and other users of the Platform in anonymized form.


Other Sources

We receive information from the following other sources:

  • information that is publicly available, such as information that is posted on social media sites; and

  • information you consent to Glossi receiving from third parties.


HOW GLOSSI USES YOUR INFORMATION

Glossi does not sell your data or private information to others. Glossi uses the information it collects about you to:

  • provide you with access to the Platform and Services;

  • ensure the proper functioning of the Services and diagnose problems with Glossi’s servers or the Platform;

  •  provide you with requested information or technical support;

  • provide you with advertising information and materials. If Glossi sends you any marketing emails, you may unsubscribe from them by following the link embedded in the email;

  • operate security and compliance programs, including investigating any violation of the Terms or applicable law;

  • gather aggregated, anonymized, statistical data about how the Platform is being used to analyze usage trends and improve the Platform and the advertising content on it. Glossi may share this anonymized data with third parties; and

  • assist Glossi in offering you a personalized experience or otherwise tailor the Services to you.

Glossi does not use your personal data for the purposes of automated decision-making or profiling.  If Glossi does so in the future, it will inform you of any such processing and provide you with an opportunity to object.

SHARING OF INFORMATION

We will only share certain personal information as further described below. 

Sharing with Third Party Service Providers and Vendors

Occasionally, Glossi enters into contracts with carefully selected third parties so that they can assist in servicing you or to assist Glossi in its own marketing and advertising activities (including providing Glossi with analytic information and search engine optimization services). We may use third party service providers to process payments. Such third parties will only have access to the information you provide when making a payment. Glossi’s contracts with such third parties prohibit them from using any of your personal information for any purpose beyond the purpose for which it was shared.

Glossi also shares aggregated, anonymized, statistical information on how the Platform is being used with certain third parties, including the media, industry observers, marketing and advertising partners, vendors, customers, potential customers or partners.

Corporate Reorganizations

If Glossi is involved in a merger, acquisition, a sale of all or a substantial portion of its assets, or other similar sale transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Glossi will notify you by email and/or a prominent notice on the Platform of any such transfer and any choices you may have regarding your information.

Authorized Users

All users authorized by you to have access to your Account can view personal information stored in the Account.

Legal Process

Lastly, if legally required to do so, or if Glossi has a good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary, Glossi may disclose your personal information to courts of law, law enforcement authorities and other relevant third parties, such as internet service providers, to conduct an investigation, respond to a third party or law enforcement subpoena or court order, bring legal action, prevent harm to others or pursue other relief when you or a third party are or may be:

  • violating the Terms;

  • causing injury or other harm to, or otherwise violating the property or other legal rights, of Glossi, other users of the Platform, or third parties; or

  • violating federal, state, local, or other applicable law.


This disclosure can include transferring your information to the U.S. and other countries outside the European Economic Area. Glossi will notify you if it is required to provide your personal information to third parties in connection with a subpoena.

SECURITY

The transmission of information via the internet, email or text message is not completely secure. Although Glossi will do its best to protect your personal information, it cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted through or in connection with the Services or over email; any transmission is at your own risk. Once Glossi has received your information, it will take appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized use, access or modification.

CHOICE/OPT-OUT

Email

You can always opt out of Glossi’s marketing communications or change your preferences by following a link in the footer of all non-transactional, or otherwise essential, email messages from Glossi or by emailing Glossi at contact@glossi.io. Some communications from Glossi are considered transactional or service communications (for example, important account notifications and content reaction correspondence), and your Account is provided to you upon the condition that you receive these communications from Glossi. You must cancel your Account if you do not wish to receive any transactional or service communications. To cancel your Account, please follow the instructions found in the Terms. You may still receive marketing communications from Glossi even after you cancel your Account unless you also opt-out of Glossi’s marketing communications, as described above.

Information from Third Parties

To manage the information Glossi receives about you from a social networking site or other third parties (if applicable), you will need to follow the instructions from that party for updating your information and changing your privacy settings, where available. The information Glossi collects is covered by this Privacy Policy and the information the third party collects is subject to such third party’s privacy practices. Privacy choices you have made on any third-party site will not apply to Glossi’s use of the information collected directly through the Platform.

RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Glossi retains your personal information to provide Services to you and as otherwise necessary to comply with Glossi’s legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce Glossi’s agreements. Glossi will retain your personal information for no more than three months following the date on which you terminate your use of the Services, unless Glossi is otherwise required by law or regulation to retain your personal information for longer.

YOUR RIGHTS

California Notices

If you reside in California and have provided personal information to us, you have the right to receive: (a) information identifying any third party to whom Glossi may have disclosed, within the past year, personal data pertaining to you and your family for that party’s direct marketing purposes; and (b) a description of the categories of personal data disclosed. To obtain such information, please email your request to contact@glossi.io. This request may be made no more than once per calendar year.

Restriction of Processing to Storage Only

You have a right to require Glossi to stop processing the personal information Glossi hold about you other than for storage purposes in the following circumstances:

  • you believe the personal information is not accurate for the period it takes for Glossi to verify whether the data is accurate;

  • we wish to erase the personal information as the processing Glossi are doing is unlawful but you want Glossi to simply restrict the use of that data;

  • we no longer need the personal information for processing but you require Glossi to retain the data for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims; or

  • you have objected to Glossi processing personal information Glossi hold about you on the basis of Glossi’s legitimate interest and you wish Glossi to stop processing the personal information while Glossi determine whether there is an overriding interest in Glossi retaining such personal information.

     

Objection

You have the right to object to Glossi’s processing of data about you and Glossi will consider your request. Please provide Glossi with detail as to your reasoning so that Glossi can assess whether there is a compelling overriding interest in Glossi continuing to process such data or Glossi need to process it in relation to legal claims.  

You also have the right, at any time, to object to Glossi’s processing of data about you in order to send you marketing, including where Glossi build profiles for such purposes and Glossi will stop processing the data for that purpose.

Withdrawal of Consent

Where you have provided your consent to Glossi processing your personal data, you can withdraw your consent at any time by e-mailing Glossi at contact@glossi.io.

THIRD PARTY LINKS AND INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE BY GLOSSI’s USERS

Some parts of the Platform may provide links to other Platforms. Because Glossi does not control the information policies or practices of these third party sites, you should review their privacy policies to learn about how they collect and use personal information.

CHILDREN

Our Services are not directed to persons under 18. Glossi does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided Glossi with personal information without such parent or guardian’s consent, he or she should contact us. If Glossi becomes aware that a child under 18 has provided Glossi with personal information, Glossi will delete such information from Glossi’s files.

DATA TRANSFER

In order for Glossi to provide the Services to you, your personal information will be transferred to, and stored at/processed in the United States. Glossi will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your personal data is treated securely and in accordance with this policy.

COMPLAINTS

If you wish to make a complaint about how Glossi process your personal information, please contact Glossi at contact@glossi.io. and Glossi will try to deal with your request. 

NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. If Glossi decide to change this Privacy Policy in any material way, Glossi will notify you here and by email prior to the change becoming effective. In all cases, your continued use of any Services constitutes acceptance to any such changes.
