Exporting USDz from Cinema 4D

  1. Create all of your materials for your model using the Classic Node Material

    1. Create > Material > Classic Materials > New Node Material; Ctrl+Alt+N 

  2. Export USDZ

    1. File > Export > USD settings “⚙️”

    2. In the usd settings panel, match the settings shown here.

      1. Set the Baked Materials Width and Height to what makes sense for your model’s textures. 

        1. 4096 x 4096 is a generally good resolution in most cases.

      2. Save these settings as a Preset for future ease of use.

      3. Hit OK and choose where to save your file.
